Maya : Week 31, Happy Holloween

Maya dressed as Buddy this year for Holloween. The holidays are fun again. Although we do not plan to trick-or-treat this year, I definitely can't wait till next year.

Maya has no concept of Day Light Savings. She has also made a habit of waking in the middle of the night. Poo for us. Is this from her transition from infant to toddler? Shorter naps, more play time. I am exhausted thinking about how exhausted I will be from keeping her entertained...and fed...and clean...and diapers poo free [gag].

Maya : Week 29

At 29 weeks, things are still going well. After a period of adjustment to rice cereal, Maya has mastered the "Pull my finger" joke, which can make for hours of entertainment. Pan and I, at times, have given each other the "Was that you" look, only to find that the rank smell was coming from our baby girl. No, I am not obsessed with her gas, but more relived that she is not holding it in, which can lead to a unhappy baby.

We have a happy, happy, happy....happy little girl.

Eat a yogurt a day

Lactobacillus acidophilus, a "friendly" bacterium, stymies the growth of bad germs. It's an ingredient in many yogurts; check the labels.

Maya : Week 28

Look who's sitting. Maya can now sit up without any help. Well...she needs a little help to sit, but once she is sitting, no additional help needed.

Maya also has a word she says for everything. Like Keaneu Reeves using the word "Dude" with many meanings, Maya's word is "Momma". "Momma" sometimes means "Momma". Sometimes means "Hungry". Sometimes means "I want". Sometimes means "I'm tired". Sometimes means "I just made a massive poo-poo in my diaper and it stinks really, really bad and daddy must change and clean me now, then heat my bottle cause I am hungry and I want to eat now, bitch." She used that last one on me this morning...about 6 am...[Tear].

Maya : Week 27

"Mmmmm...rice cereal...GOOD...[Burp!]. Yogurt...Blah...[Gag], get that !@*% outta my face." Those were Maya's words during one of her feedings. Well, its what I imagined she said, by her expressions. The yogurt, containing good bateria, is to help a possible sour stomach. You see, our little girl is going through a faze of nothing but poopy diapers...[Gag].

My friend Joey, after reading my blog, commented the other day that he thought I was a little too obsessed with POOP. Hey, poop is like my second job. Between Maya, Buddy, Choco, Mocha...and my job, I am constantly dealing with poop. "And thats all I gotta say about that." [Forrest Gump voice]

I also had a insect bite that got infected this past week. Not fun. Multi trips to Urgent Care. Couple of painful cuts [I almost cried...SNIFF] and two antibotic IVs later, I am on the road to recovery. Man, that took a lot out of me. Pan to the rescue...again. I love you Pan!

Thanks to all the people who called to check on me, it really ment a lot.
