Maya Week 13

Pan went back to work today. Daycare does not start for a few more weeks. What to do?

[Cue Action Music] Agoos to the rescue.

Helen Agoo arrive last night and will stay with us through the weekend. Then Winnie Agoo will come down the week of the Fourth of July, followed again by Helen Agoo the week after. We can not thank them enough for helping us through this transition period.

Maya has been very entertained with Helen Agoo here. Mealtime has been the most interesting. When Helen Agoo is not cooking, I like to let Pan and Helen Agoo decide what and where to eat.

Pan: Whats for dinner?

Helen Agoo: What do you want to eat?

Pan: What do you want to eat?

Helen Agoo: I'll eat whatever you want.

Pan: OK. Whatever is fine with me. If you call it in I'll pick it up.

Helen Agoo: OK. Where do you want me to call?

Pan: Whatever you want...

Petco Park

Entering Petco Park we were handed a give-a-way. Pan was so happy until she found out that it was a give-a-way for children and the toy was for Maya. We got to see Japan's number one son of baseball, Ichiro Suzuki, one of my favorite players. Maya behaved wonderfully the whole time. Now, if I can only get Pan to let go of the toy, so Maya can play.

Maya : Week 12

Pan thinks that Maya said a word today. "Mmmm-Ma". Hovered over the crib Pan was so happy..."Mmmm-Ma, Mmmm-Ma." I rushed over to hear my little girl speak.

(staring into my eyes, smiling)
Maya: ..."Mmmm...Mmmm...Mmmmm-ccia."

Pan: See she said "Mmmm-ma."

Me: No, sounded like she is saying "Mmmmm-ccia".

Pan: Mmmm-ccia? As in Miuccia? Miuccia Prada? (looking down at Maya even more proudly)

Three months old, and Maya's first word is the first name of a famous designer of high-end womens clothing. I want to cry.

Me: No No...ummm...you were right, she said "Mmmm-Ma".

Maya : Week 11

People keep asking me how Maya is doing. I don't have a whole lot to say. We have not had any problems. All the stories you hear about babies, good and bad, we have only experienced the good (knock on wood). I am really enjoying this stage of her life. That could change once she starts to crawl and talk, which is the next stage.

Maya : Week 10

Maya is smiling because Momma introduced her to something new...South Coast Plaza Mall. The other "Happiest Place in Irvine". They have Louise Vitton, Gucci, Dolce Gabbana, Tiffany's, Mikkimoto and many, many...many other stores which I have chose to block from my mind. I think Maya is dreaming of all the accessories she will need when she starts daycare next month.
