Food Fact : She-crab

A she-crab is , of course, a female crab. Her entree into the lexicon is via a Georgia specialty, she-crab soup, a cream-based potage that uses both the crab's meat and eggs.

The best she-crab soup I ever had, was at the Pink House in Savannah.

I live in Savannah, I have never eaten at Pink House, I don't like seafood.

I am ashamed.

If you dont like seafood, you dont like seafood. No shame in that. I lived in Savannah on and off for close to 10 years. How bout ribs from Rib Castle. Some of the best ribs in the south? or Slice of Vinnie's. or Hirano's in Midtown?

I've never heard of Rib Castle (I've lived here 6 years). I'm not sure about it but I'll ask at work to see if its still around. Vinnie's in City Market? Best pizza ever, hard to get a seat sometimes. Hiranos is still around, I've heard the name but never tried it, I usually end up at Tokyo's on Victory Drive for their teriyaki chicken.

I'm not really ashamed of not liking seafood.. I just get the odd looks occasionally ("What you live in Savannah and don't like see food??").
